It might surprise you to know doctors have used a common household product to combat outbreaks of influenza and plague for years. Yes, not only does baking soda keep your fridge smelling nice it can also be used as a dietary supplement. Backing soda oxygenates and invigorates the body while boosting the immune system and clearing toxins. What a deal!
According to Mercola:
“In its natural form, baking soda is known as nahcolite, which is part of the natural mineral natron. Natron, which contains large amounts of sodium bicarbonate, has been used since ancient times.”
In 1846, “Dr. Austin Church and John Dwight began to manufacture and sell the compound we know as baking soda today. By the 1860s, baking soda was featured in published cookbooks but was still primarily known as a cooking additive. By the 1920s, however, its versatility was expanded on, and by the 1930s it was widely advertised as a ‘proven medical agent.'”
Baking soda is very alkaline or basic. Chemically, baking soda will make something acidic (like stomach fluids) more basic. For ideal heath, the human body should be slightly alkaline with a slight negative electrical charge that keeps microbes from flourishing — the optimal pH level for the human bloodstream is 7.365.
Do not confuse baking soda and baking powder. Baking powder contains aluminum, a toxic metal.
Also, baking soda is simply bicarbonate of soda, also called sodium bicarbonate. As long as you are buying bicarbonate of soda, it doesn’t matter which brand you select because they all have the same chemical content.
Drink one level teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water daily to enjoy the many health benefits that baking soda offers:
- Absorbs radiation and heavy metals
- Alkalizes the body
- Natural toothpaste and mouth freshener
- Body exfoliant and facial scrub
- Relieves itchy skin and insect bites
- Foot and bath soak
Baking soda neutralizes the harmful effects of chemtrail toxins and Fukushima radiation pollution, both of which destroy the body’s natural immune system. An alkaline body supports a healthy immune system that wards off cancer and viruses.
Research from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta showed that baking soda boosts the immune system by acting on the spleen. The study grew from the fact that “baking soda has been used for years as part of a treatment of kidney disease.”
The Georgia scientists are working under the theory that “somehow baking soda causes the mesothelial cells surrounding the spleen to send a ‘no-infection’ signal to the spleen.” The spleen then down-regulates M1 cells (which fight infection) and up-regulates M2 cells (which secrete anti-inflammatories to heal the inflammation).
Dr. David Jockers advocates a baking soda detox drink on a regular basis but at least one hour before eating. You need stomach acids an hour before and after meals for fast and effective digestion.
“When our body is not utilizing oxygen well, when we’re running off of sugar and not in a fat-adaptive state, we…start to become acidic. Cancer and chronic disease grow in an acidic environment.”
Improving blood oxygenation can lead to increased energy levels, brain function, mental clarity, cognitive acceleration, clear complexion, and reverse chronic diseases.
Here is Dr. Jockers’ recipe to steer the body toward a slightly alkaline pH state with a baking soda detox drink:
Combine in a glass, the mix together
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp lemon juice
4 oz water
1 tsp turmeric (powdered)
1/4 tsp ginger (ground)
1/8 tsp (a pinch) black pepper
Natural sweetener (stevia) to taste is optional
Be sure to drink baking soda at least one hour before or after eating. Starting your morning by drinking a teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate will energize you for the whole day, hydrate your entire body, remove toxins, and restore a slightly negative (alkaline) charge to your cells.
People with high blood pressure should not take baking soda because it is a salt – one teaspoon has 1,259 milligrams of sodium. In large quantities, it can aggravate hypertension. Consuming too much baking soda can lead to blood chemistry imbalances and heart conditions. Severe cases can overload circulation and lead to heart failure.
Likewise, do not take baking soda internally if you have edema, liver disease, or kidney disease. Too much baking soda can increase thirst, produce nausea, and cause diarrhea. It may not mix well with aspirin and other salicylates, barbiturates, calcium supplements, corticosteroids, medications with a special coating to protect the stomach, lithium, quinidine, and diuretics.
Patients taking prescription drugs or who follow a sodium-restricted diet should consult their doctors before consuming baking soda.
Dr. Tullio Simoncini (born in 1951) is an Italian medical doctor who claims that cancer can be cured with injections of sodium bicarbonate. He was treating cancer patients with baking soda successfully until October 8, 2007, when a Dutch breast cancer patient following his instructions died.
Dr. Simoncini was banned from his medical profession for life in Italy, his home country. In 2003, he was convicted of fraud and wrongful death. He received a 5-1/2 year prison sentence for allegedly treating cancer with sodium bicarbonate (relief dust) and causing this patient’s metabolic alkalosis-ending death.
If you decide to embark on a path to wellness by drinking one teaspoon of baking soda daily, proceed with caution. If you don’t feel energized and healthy, stop immediately.
In the absence of other health conditions already noted above that dictate otherwise, adding a baking soda cleanse to your regular regime could become your immunity-building, detoxifying BFF.
