Many medical experts discuss what it takes to feel your best by eating properly, exercising, and regular physicals. They focus a great deal on the physical aspect of the human existence and they rarely, if ever, discuss the importance of a person’s mental state. This is an unfortunate situation because people assume that the only way to good health and a great lifestyle is by eating certain foods and working out. This couldn’t be further from the truth. In actuality, if your mental state is not in good condition then you can expect that everything else within you will soon fall apart.
Did you know that what you think has the power to influence how you feel? If you consistently think that you are sad, then more than likely you will be sad. If you feel bad about your life, your job, or your relationship, then more than likely you will begin to feel bad about yourself. When you are thinking about things that make you unhappy, you create an energy vibration around you that will attract those same things that make you miserable. You can’t attract to you something good if you are always focused on something bad.
In addition to your thoughts creating energy fields that attract certain things your way, your thoughts also influence how you feel…which in turn can affect your overall health. When you are constantly feeling down or sad, you will eventually find yourself dealing with much bigger issues. According to FamilyDoctor.org, if feelings of stress, sadness, or anxiety are locked away within a person, they will eventually suffer from physical problems. Your body responds to the way you think, which is associated with “mind/body connection.” When you are mentally uneasy through your thoughts—that are the result of stress in your life—you run the risk of getting high blood pressure or a stomach ulcer, among other things. All things begin with your thoughts. Unfortunately, if your thoughts are not healthy, then you will soon feel the consequences of those thoughts through your health.
If you find that your physical health is in need of improvement, you might want to start the process of getting better by first changing your thought pattern. Sort out why you feel the way that you do, and then do what is necessary to make those changes. Do not be afraid to balance your negative thoughts with a positive attitude. It’s not to say that you lie to yourself by saying things you really don’t believe in an attempt to fool yourself into being more positive. Instead, try to focus on the good that is going on in your life, rather than merely focusing on those things that make you feel uneasy. In time, you will see that your thoughts are becoming trained into focusing on things that are good, rather than the bad. Once you change your thought pattern from bad to good, you will soon see that your physical health will do the same. You may even find yourself laughing a bit more as you attract the things into your life that you love. It all starts with your thoughts. Just something to think about.
